Union County Patriot Band

Union County High School is home to the Pride of The Patriots Marching Band and is under the direction of Georgia native,Mr. Rodney Brown.  Prior to coming to Union County Mr. Brown taught middle school in North Carolina.  Having earned both bachelors degrees in music performance and music education under Sam Skelton and Dr. John Culvahouse respectively from Kennesaw State University Mr. Brown is currently in the final semester of earning his masters at The University of Southern Mississippi.  Mr. Brown has studied conducting under the guidance of Dr. David Kehler, Dr. John Culvahouse, Dr. Eric Harris, and Dr. Christian Zembower. 

There is a rich tradition of music in Union County and not just with our band.  Union County is the home to many Country Music performers such as Carl Smith, Chet Atkins, Kenny Chesney, and the legendary King of Country Music, Roy Acuff.  We can only hope to build on this heritage. 

We hope to continue the tradition of excellence here at UCHS while ever striving to reach new heights of musicianship.  "Chase perfection and you will catch excellence" is the motto that we live by here at UCHS and we hope that you will come out and support us in our new endeavors.
